I won $656 million!

Do I have your attention?  And no I didn’t actually win the Mega Millions Lotto Jackpot on 3/30/12.  It was the largest in history.

But what was the best part is I saw so many people posting about DREAMS and what they would do WITH the money.  We heard things like…

  • Quit their job
  • Pay off mortgage
  • Pay off credit cards and school loans
  • Golf, take a vacation and get a 2nd home
  • Buy that dream sports car
  • Donate to charity
  • I even heard someone say he would take 10 of his friends up into space!

The thing is…Every day is a lottery.  You have the power within you to be a winner EVERYDAY!

  • You are a WINNER simply being alive and the PRIZE is each day.
  • Choose your work or profession you want NOW and do what it takes to THRIVE not just survive.
  • Earn the money you need to live in Financial Freedom, not to just pay your bills.
  • Spend more TIME with those you love.
  • GIVE to others and you will receive more in return.

The odds of winning the Mega Millions jackpot were 1 in 176 million.  The odds of winning YOUR jackpot in your life?  100% when you play the game of YOUR life EVERY day simply by the choices we make every day.

What choices are you going to make today?  Are you going to put your fate into 7 balls that pop of a machine or are you going to put fate into your own hands and make good choices?  While money doesn’t buy you happiness, it does buy you choices in life…

I choose to make my own winnings…

Normal is NOT for me!

Someone asked me the other day, when I was going to get a “normal job”  So I am dedicating this post to those who believe I am not NORMAL…

I am NOT Normal…But I do have…

  • a business that allows me to work around my family and other obligations and not the other way around.
  • a home office and my commute is about 30 seconds from the Kitchen.
  • downtime when I read, listen to music or go for a walk. (instead of watching tv)
  • people I work with and do not dread going to work.
  • financial security to be able to pay my bills each month (and put money into savings)
  • mentally stimulation to grow myself, my business and help others do the same
  • a career where I get paid for sharing what I love to do.
  • a love for Mondays as much as Fridays.

So Nope…I do not have a normal, traditional style job or business…but I am successful and living the life I dream of!

Riding a bike is easy – So is running a successful business

My daughter woke up today and asked me if we could go ride her bike.   So outside we went and I said are you ready to try without your training wheels?

You could see the mixed emotions in her eyes… the fear, the remember of the pain the last time she tried and fell, the doubt (I can’t do this, I’m not ready, the bike is too big,  ”insert excuse here”)…then she thought about the excitement of it and the thrill of being able to ride with her brothers all around the neighborhood and campground this summer.

Guess which emotion won out?  As soon as she started to VISUALIZE herself riding with her brothers and having the freedom to ride around the neighborhood…it overcame her fears.   Of course she asked for support, she asked me for advice, she asked me to hold on until she was ready.

As her coach I kept trying to tell her that once she figures out the balance…it will be easy.  I can’t teach you that…you gotta feel it.  I won’t let you fall, but you got to do the work.  Within 30 minutes she was riding on her own.

Last fall we tried this many times and it always ended up in tears and frustration?  What changed today?  Sure she is a little older, but she was more than ready last fall.  What changed is SHE MADE UP HER MIND to do it and the goal of riding with her friends this summer was way stronger than the possibility of a few falls.

How often do we do this in our adult lives?  How often do we let the excuses determine our course of action?

I challenge you…VISUALIZE what your next goal will look like and what it will feel like and allow those to wash away any doubt.  Ask for advice, ask for support…but be ready to ride all on your own.  YOU CAN DO IT!

Go WRITE on the MIRROR – Yes you…

You are an adult now…so you can write on the mirror without getting in trouble!   OK, I’m going to share something with you that will make a HUGE difference in your life. It might feel funny and seem strange, but just do it!

Get a dry erase marker and write your goal across your bathroom mirror. This way you will see yourself IN your goal every morning while getting ready, every evening while getting ready for bed and throughout the day. Every time you go into the bathroom and see that on your mirror, feel the feelings of how it feels to have achieved this goal, even if it’s just for a few seconds. This is going to train your subconscious mind and get it used to having achieved your goal. Once your subconscious mind gets it, it’s only a matter of time.

I can do it to…but will I?

Posted September 26th, 2011 by Louann Cormier and filed in Self Development

I was having dinner with my family at the grandparents house and we got to talking about my Greeting Card Business. I was
sharing how I am learning so much from my mentors Alethea Anderson and Jackie Ulmer and how nice it is that they are showing me the ropes. And then I said…

If she can do it so can I

Then my husband (who has been listening to me talk alot lately about the power of influence, law of attraction and word choices) says…

Yes you can do it, but will you?

I stopped dead in my tracks. Not because he was questioning me…I knew he meant it in jest, but because I realized that he was right! I have not been saying and thinking the right thing.

I hadn’t made the “conscious” choice to do what it takes…

Sure I have thought to myself many many times…If she can do it so can I…but I realized I was missing a critical step! You see…when I said that, part of my SUBCONSCIOUS would start fighting with me by saying

no you can’t…you don’t have the knowledge, experience, talent (pick any word and insert here) to do it.

I didn’t realize it until just that moment when my husband said, “Yes you can, but will you?” that I needed to change my words and thoughts. So
now I’ll say…

If she can do it, I choose to
do it too!

It’s a very subtle difference but a VERY powerful one. I am now making the choice to make it happen. And anytime any “negative” thought comes
in, I can simply respond by saying…I choose to do it, so go away! I can learn, improve, change and develop anything.

Make the choice and go for it!
